Hello democracy, goodbye ACTA

Good news from Brussels: the European Parliament has rejected the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) with huge numbers: 478-39. The proposed agreement claims to fight piracy, but is also criticized for threatening online freedom. The rejection vote followed a failed attempt to postpone the decision in order to finish ongoing investigations into ACTA by the European Court of Justice.
