September 2011 in Amsterdam is… Striptember! Never heard of this event? Here’s more info:
“Amsterdam has long been associated with one of the finest comic illustrators/ art, it has a diverse and rich history of the comic strip and it celebrates this by having the oldest strip shop gallery in the world, Lambiek which has been open since 1968. In September 2011 a unique comic strip extravaganza celebrating the rich history of the comic strip in Europe/the world will take place in various venues across the city. A whole month will be dedicated to some of the best comic art in Europe/world and the festival will take place every year/ annually.”
