“We’re looking for inspiring stories about people’s best blog posts,” says Blog ’08. “Do you have a certain post of which you’re really proud?” They even call it “That one rockin’ blog post.” Do I have one? Oh yeah, I think every blogger has one.

Today’s the deadline for submitting those rockin’ blog posts. There is an interesting incentive: “Blurb will put the twenty most inspiring/ funniest/ greatest posts together in a book! The twenty writers will of course receive this book for free. Isn’t that awesome? Your best blog post in a book written by passionate bloggers? We’d also like to invite you on stage so you can share the story with the audience.”

Since I enjoyed meeting the Blog ’08 organisers over a cup of coffee last week, I submitted my personal favorite. “That one rockin’ blog post could only be this one, originally posted here. By warning journalists that they could lose their jobs if they kept on resisting to blog, I started a serious discussion on the Dutch journalist blog DNR. It could still be one of my most influential blog postings ever.”
